Initial Contact
To start the custom design process you can reach out via phone, video consultation, email form, schedule an in-person appointment or just come in to our store! We will gather information throughout conversations about the inspirations you bring to us for the piece, this will support us in providing a rough quote for the project.
Center Stone Search
Once we have a general idea of the design, we usually search for your center stone, as the design often hinges on the center. We will talk about important considerations to have while looking for your center stone, and once you feel confident in what you are looking for, we will present 2-3 options to you that align with your tastes and budget during an in-person or digital review.
Design Talk
After finding the perfect center stone we will finalize the design details with the center stone in mind. we will share our cad screen and collaborate with you to realize your dreams for your custom piece with you at our desks or via video consultation. Once the design is finalized around the center stone you have chosen, we require a 50% deposit to begin production.
After The Deposit
The first 1-2 weeks of production are spent fine-tuning the design, at the end, you will be provided fully realized digital renderings to approve or make slight adjustments before it is crafted. Once approved, we create a wax model which we offer the opportunity to review via photographs or an in-person appointment. This is where you can see your center stone in the semi-translucent wax version of your piece, which is then sent into physical production for 4-6 weeks.
After Production
We will reach out to you once your piece is complete to schedule you for an in-person pickup or confirm your shipping address and clear your remaining balance before we ship out. We provide custom wooden boxes for all our engagement rings, as well as complimentary jewelry cleaner to keep your ECJ piece looking like the first day you received it!
