I’ve been waiting to tell you about this one. On Saturday, November 14, from 10am to 1pm, we’re discounting every loose stone in our inventory, most by up to 20%. One day only, in store.
I’ll say it plainly: we have never discounted a gemstone or diamond before. Not once. So, when I tell you this is a big deal for us, I mean it. Here are the top five reasons why we’re hosting an in-store Sourcing Saturday event this November.
1. We’ve Never Discounted a Gemstone Before
I know that’s not a sentence you hear from us often (or ever!). Gemstones are the heart of what we do, and we’ve always held the line on pricing them. This time, we wanted to do something special for the people who have supported us.
The discount is in store only, and only on Saturday, November 14, from 10am to 1pm. If you’ve had a stone in mind for a while, this is the day to come say hello.
2. You Get a Head Start on Holiday and New Year Gifting
It’s mid-November, which makes this a lovely moment to start planning. If there’s someone on your list who deserves something truly special, like a ring, a pair of earrings, or a pendant made just for them, begin with the stone. Choose it in person, at a price we’ve never offered before, and we can design the piece around it.
The same goes for the new year. Maybe a proposal is in your plans for January or beyond, or you’re finally treating yourself to the piece you’ve been dreaming about. Picking your stone now means the most fun part is already done. A custom design takes time to get right, and starting early gives us room to do it well. (It also means you’re not scrambling in December. You’re welcome.)
You can even give the stone itself. Hand someone a one-of-a-kind sapphire and say, “Let’s design something together.” That’s a pretty great present.
3. Every Gemstone Will Be Out in the Cases
Now for something we never do. Normally, only part of our inventory is out at a time. For Sourcing Saturday, every gemstone we have will be on display, with the cases arranged by supplier.
I love this because you can walk the showroom, compare stones side by side, and see how each supplier’s selection has its own personality. Take your time. Ask us to take stones out. Hold them up to the light. It’s about as close as we can get to bringing a little of Tucson to Philadelphia.
4. We’re Introducing Three of Our Suppliers
Sourcing is at the center of everything we do, so I want you to meet some of the people behind our stones. During the event, we’ll introduce three of our suppliers and talk about what makes each one significant and why we chose to work with them. After Tucson, I talked about how origin is becoming everything. This is your chance to hear those origin stories firsthand.
5. You Can Ask Us Anything About Where Stones Come From
Where a stone comes from, and who handled it on the way to us, shapes every choice we make. You can read the full details in our sourcing standards, but I always think it lands differently in person. Sourcing Saturday is your chance to ask questions, get curious, and see those standards in action.
