This is a leadership role responsible for managing the full production pipeline, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all jewelry pieces, and directly managing our Production Assistant/Bench Jeweler.

The Production Manager serves as the operational backbone of our studio — setting the pace, maintaining standards, and ensuring every piece that leaves our bench reflects the integrity and craftsmanship Emily Chelsea Jewelry is known for. • Establish and uphold quality standards across in-house and out-of-house production
  • Analyze and advise on best procedures for repairs, escalating complex cases as needed

Team Management

  • Directly manage and mentor the Production Assistant/Bench Jeweler
  • Assign, prioritize, and review work delegated to the Production Assistant
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team environment
  • Support onboarding and skills development for production team members

Operations & Recordkeeping

  • Enter and track costs for individual production components, ensuring accurate and organized recordkeeping
  • Maintain organized production documentation, job records, and vendor communications
  • Perform light bench work as needed, including polishing, stamping, stone setting, and minor repairs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes and operational workflows

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in jewelry production or manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
  • Deep understanding of fine jewelry production processes, including out-of-house casting, setting, finishing, and repair
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Driver’s license required with a clean driving record
  • Passion for jewelry, social and environmental responsibility, and marriage equality
