The Genesis in 14kt Fairmined Yellow Gold

$3,650.00

Introducing The Genesis – a masterpiece born from a jewelry revolution. This necklace isn't just an accessory; it's a testament to over a decade of progress in ethical sourcing and miner rights advocacy. Every aspect of this piece tells a story of transformation and hope.

Each component of this necklace tells a story of positive impact. Made entirely out of 14kt Fairmined gold with two stones from Virtu Gem, two from Columbia Gem House and one from Moyo Gems via Nineteen48– these aren't just gems; they're symbols of change. These organizations are at the forefront of championing miners' rights, ensuring that every part mined is a beacon of progress and integrity.

This necklace is more than a beautiful piece of jewelry. It's a bridge connecting conscious consumers with the heart of responsible mining. It's a celebration of the tireless efforts of those who've worked to bring these ethical treasures from the earth to your collection. From miner, to cutter to gem dealer, each person who touched it a passionate advocate for a better jewelry world.

By choosing 'Traceable Jewels,' you're not just making a fashion statement. You're becoming part of the jewelry revolution- a movement that values beauty, ethics, and humanity. Join us in sharing this symbol of hope and change. Let's make this not just a trend, but a viral phenomenon that redefines luxury in terms of not just aesthetics, but also ethical and social responsibility.

Due to the uniqueness of these stones, we produced 2 necklaces, one with wider spacing and the other more condensed. Both hang on an 18” cable chain with each stone evenly stationed in place.

Please note:
The order of gemstones for necklace A is rhodolite garnet, sunstone, blue agate, amethyst, rutilated quartz.

Rhodolite Garnet- from Tanzania through Moyo Gems, an organization launched in 2019 that works to empower women miners to work safely, mine better, improve financial security, and create stable, equitable markets for fair trade in East Africa.

Sunstone- sourced from Nigeria through Columbia Gem House, a true pioneer of the ethical gem supply movement. They were doing this before it was cool and even got a ton of flack for it in the beginning. Nevertheless, they persevered and continue to evaluate their suppliers, work with miners to improve their conditions and find new sources where they can help establish more ethical supply chains.

Blue Agate- from Malawi through Virtu Gem, a social enterprise found by women which works with artisanal gemstone mining communities in Malawi, Kenya and Zambia to expand markets through technology, good practices and equitable relationships. Virtu Gem launched in 2021 and uses blockchain technology to track every gemstone.

Amethyst- from Zambia and cut in the shape of the Fish Eagle, which represents the conquest of freedom and the nation’s hope for the future with the National treasure of Victoria falls. The Fish Eagle is Zambia’s National Gem Cut, a gemstone facet design developed by gem cutters in Zambia to honor and represent their nation through the art of gemstone design and cutting.

Rutilated Quartz- from the Pyramid Mine in Bahia, Brazil, brought to us through Columbia Gem House.
